beautifully lazy sunday


i cannot believe that it is already sunday. but really, where do the weekends go? they so often seem jammed with all of the 'have-to's that there is not much time left for the 'want-to's. luckily, this weekend husband and i got all of our obligations out of the way on saturday which left us this one solitary day for rest. 

and what a lovely, peaceful day it has been.

this morning, i woke up to my husband's loving voice as opposed to a harsh alarm. then, we got ready and went to church, which was incredibly and especially refreshing today {good word, pastor!}. i do love going to first service because then we are out by 1030 and have the entire day ahead of us.

husband cooked lunch while i laid on the couch and watched the office, half in and half out of sleep. berkley laid on the floor, chewing on her rawhide. 

today has held a beautiful sort of contentment.

even now as i sit outside and type, there is just a fresh peace in the air. 

all is well, and i am grateful for that.

  8. i love a lazy sunday morning before church when the alarms don't have to be set, and yes that is why we attend the later church service so we don't have to set our alarms or miss the first service. sundays are great family days, thank God He made a day of rest because He knew we would always need that
